Qld: Thieves' heist foiled by mobile phone call to mate
A brazen robbery spree in Queensland has come to an end for three thieves, after one
of the men made a phone call on a victim's mobile.
Police say an 18-year-old man walking down a Borill a street in central Queenslan'ds
Emerald was robbed by three men last night.
They stole the man's wallet and mobile phone before fleeing.
Police allege one of the offenders used the man's mobile phone to call a friend, who
did not answer.
Police later arrested three men, two aged 17 and one aged 18.
A search of one home allegedly uncovered jewellery, money and clothing from previous
break and enters, including one on Christmas Day.
All three men will face Emerald Magistrates Court tomorrow.
