Backup OF Rios thinks like a starter

CLEVELAND--Armando Rios said his prayers were answered Thursdaywhen he came to the ballpark to find his name in the lineup.

Figuring he had made his token appearance in the three-game seriesat Cleveland on Wednesday when he pinch hit against the Indians, Rioswasn't expecting much. Instead, he found out he was making his thirdstart of the season and second in center.

"I'm out here to play," Rios said. "All the guys tell me thetoughest thing is to adjust to being a backup player. But I neverthink like that. I didn't think that even when I backed up Ellis[Burks] and Barry [Bonds in San Francisco]. I knew I was going backthem up but I thought of myself as an every-day …
