NSW:Kidman says Cruise's career came first
SYDNEY, April 24 AAP - Australian actress Nicole Kidman has revealed her former husband'scareer came first in their marriage and that she now feels empty when she's not with herchildren.
Kidman told the Australian Women's Weekly her primary roles while she was married toTom Cruise were as wife and mother.
Since the couple's celebrated split last year, Cruise and the flame-haired Aussie beautyshare custody of their children Isabella, nine, and Connor, seven.
Kidman told the magazine's May issue that her former husband's career had always comefirst and that her life was now very different.
"When I was married and living in LA, I was married; that was my commitment. Primarily,I was a wife and a mother," she said.
"Tom's career came first. When we split up everything changed.
"Now I don't have the kids all the time; they are still my driving force, but whenthey are not with me, it is a very empty feeling."
The magazine hits the newsstands today (Wednesday).
