Fed: Labor plans to combine ASIO, AFP as anti-terrorism force
SYDNEY, Feb 22 AAP - Labor is planning to combine the resources of the Australian Security
and Intelligence Organisation and the Australian Federal Police as a new force to fight
terrorism and crime, it was reported today.
The Sunday Telegraph said Labor believed the agencies would be streamlined by amalgamating
their offices, budgets and administration, bringing together spies and law enforcement
officers under the one roof.
